Stone and Block Adhesive PU-Stonefix 478
Stone Adhesive Aerated Concrete PU | Stone and Block Adhesive for Indoor and Outdoor Use
PU-Stonefix stone adhesive is a high-quality, fast-curing, ready-to-use adhesive foam for bonding various stony substrates, including sand-lime blocks, plaster blocks, aerated concrete, and concrete blocks, which cures into a durable PU stone adhesive through air humidity. This stone adhesive is also known as stone and block adhesive.
PU-Stonefix is a very strong adhesive. You can use it to bond stony building materials, such as aerated concrete blocks, sand-lime brick, ceramics, plasterboards, various types of building blocks. The stone and block adhesive is suitable for both indoor and outdoor application. The stone and block adhesive is not suitable for bonding load-bearing walls; only non-load-bearing walls can be bonded with it. The PU-Stonefix canisters are equipped with screw threads that fit our PU gun. The advantage of our PU gun is that the amount of adhesive and spray speed can be adjusted using the knob on the back. Also order the PU gun cleaner so that the adhesive does not cure in the PU gun.
*We recommend bonding large and/or load-bearing walls with H+H aerated concrete adhesive.
How to bond aerated concrete with stone adhesive? How much stone adhesive do I need?
Bonding aerated concrete with stone adhesive is quite simple. Before you start, it is important to clean the substrate. It is important that it is dust and grease-free. Then, it is important to test the product beforehand. Before each use, it is important to shake the stone adhesive canister 20 times. Now the PU gun can be screwed onto the canister. This is not included as standard but can be ordered separately. The advantage of our PU gun is that the amount of adhesive and spray speed can be adjusted. In addition, our PU gun is reusable.
After the PU gun has been screwed onto the canister, adjust the desired dosage and amount of adhesive and spray speed. You can do this using the knob on the back of the PU gun.
Now you can apply the PU-Stonefix adhesive to the blocks. Apply the adhesive unilaterally to the horizontal, and if necessary, to the vertical surfaces. For a wall thickness of 70mm, one line of adhesive in the middle is sufficient. Walls with a wall thickness from 100mm to 200mm require 2 lines of adhesive. When bonding the aerated concrete blocks, adhesive residues may protrude. These can be easily removed with a putty knife or utility knife once the adhesive has fully cured. If the adhesive needs to be removed immediately while still wet, this can be done with a cleaner.
When reusing the canister, shake it 20 times again. The gun can remain on the canister for up to 4 weeks, provided it is stored upright.

- Efficient, very low/economical adhesive consumption
- Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use
- No need to prepare adhesive repeatedly
What can you use stone adhesive for?
- Specifically for bonding non-load-bearing wall, partition, floor, and facade constructions.
- As a mortar substitute for bonding and assembling stony building elements/materials, such as plant and flower boxes, blocks, stones, brick slips, tiles, edges, ornaments, frames, newel posts, thresholds, window sills, waterbars, profiles, roof tiles.
- As stone adhesive for bonding and assembling many types of stone, such as natural stone, masonry, and paving stones, sand-lime blocks, (aerated) concrete parts, and ceramics.
- Ideally applicable for uneven surfaces due to its light filling capacity.
Are you going to bond a load-bearing wall? Always use H+H aerated concrete adhesive. This is the adhesive prescribed by the manufacturer of the aerated concrete blocks.
Properties
- Ready-to-use, fast-curing (H)CFC-free PU adhesive foam.
- Strong and instantly bonding to all stony substrates, even when damp.
- Light filling capacity/low expansion.
- High tensile, shear, and final strength, fast strength build-up.
- Versatile for indoor and outdoor use, bonds, mounts, fills, and seals.
- Excellent resistance to hot and cold conditions, water, and many chemicals.
Cleaning
Flush the gun with the PU cleaner. It is important to remove excess foam from the PU gun immediately with the PU cleaner. Cured foam can only be removed mechanically.
